This is the all mighty 'Bug Killer.' Basically this car sees a lot of open country roads at high speeds. These bugs have been baking on this civic's hood for about a month. :eek:



Well this was just a wash/clay to get the car looking as good as I can by hand, but I knew before starting that there was going to be some etching from the bugs that only machine polishing would get rid of. ANYWAY on to the process:



Location: Penguin Wash in Naperville.



Megs APC+ 4:1 for the Tires and Wheel Covers.

Penguin Wash House Presoak the Hood and front bumper

Sonus HG shampoo bucked washed.

Mothers Yellow Clay + Megs QD for all panels except hood and front bumper.

Sonus Grey Clay + Sonus Clay Lube for the Hood and Front bumper.

ScratchX to minimize the etching left by the bugs.

Klasse AIO for the entire car.

s100 on the hood, roof and trunk.

AA Extreme Wet Tire shine... for the tires.



Started about 11:30PM finished at 2:00AM



Both my friend (car owner) and his girlfriend helped with the process. I showed them how to clay, gave each a bottle of QD. Also in the app and removal of the Klasse. They really helped out a lot ^_^

Actually I met the manager once, he basically said 'tread this like your own garage'



Bucket washing is allowed, but if there is a line wax at the vac spot or something. Very high class DIY wash place, the machines accept credit cards!

WOW,

accepts CCs huh ?? that is a high tech place :woot2:
 
Very nice! It seems like the bugs I have been cleaning off car this summer had super glue as their last meal. :nervous2:
