Thought I would share a vehicle I worked on a few days ago for a relative.

Process:

  • Wash with Meguiar's Gold Class Soap
  • Clay with Meguiar's C2000 Mild Clay
  • One step correction with Meguiar's Microfiber Correction Compound and 5" Microfiber Cutting Disc.
  • Waxed with Meguiar's #26 High Tech Yellow Wax
  • Tires dressed with Poorboy's World Bold N Bright
This is the 2nd vehicle that I have done using the new DA Microfiber Correction System and I really like it.

No big write up with tons of pictures..... Just a few pics to show the results.

50/50 shot

Finished shots when I pulled it out the next morning.

Looks good!
How do you like the MF system?
I just started playing with the Megs MF system. I can say I have been pleasantly surprised.

This is only the second vehicle that I have used it on, but I really like it so far. It is easy to use, does not require a lot of product, minimal dust and finishes out really nice. I clean my pad using compressed air after each section pass and I was able to use one pad for the entire Jeep.

A big thumbs up from me so far. :bigups

Looks great, how come you didn't use the finishing wax?

The Correction Compound finished out so nice on this particular vehicle that I did not feel the need for the finishing wax to refine the finish any further. This is a daily driver with over 100,000 miles and the owner was not looking for 100% flawless paint, so I went straight to #26 wax because I like the way #26 looks on dark colored paint.

The CC does finish out really well, and I agree 100%. Even when the CC makes it look great, I still use the finishing wax afterwards only because it's so darn easy to apply and remove. IIRC, Meguiar's claims it has a comparable durability to D151 which could be about 4-6 weeks.
