I met this customer by helping my uncle do some electrical work at his house.. This car is kept garaged and only taken out in the sun (which is rare around here in the PNW). Anyway I was talkin to him about his car and he told me that he gets it detailed regularly, but is never very happy about the detail. He takes this car to a high volume shop that basically just washes and adds a wax. He told me that he left it with them for 3 days and he was never satisfied. He said it wasn't wet enough. Well getting his trust in letting me work on his car was a little dificult, but I believe I earned it now. While I worked on his car he had eleventeen people come and take a look at what I was doing, including his neighbors and friends and I got to talkin to a lot of them and 90% of them seemed interested and even asked if I could take a look at their cars! Take a look.
PROCESS
~Foamed and washed with Griot's Garage car wash
~Clayed with Griot's Garage Clay
For paint correction I used my Flex 3403 VRG
Menzerna 203 w/ CCS Orange
Menzerna P087 w/ CCS Grey
Menzerna Glaze w/ CCS Blue
Sealed with Griot's Garage sealant via PC
2 Coats of Meguairs Carnauba Wax via by hand
Car before wash and clay
Wheels before (notice the "pink hat of the rotor")
Engine and Engine bay before
Interior Before
Condition of paint after wash and clay bar... Holy holograms and marring. Sorry but time was a restriction from taking a lot of pictures during the process
Interior completed while last coat of wax was curing
Here is the car as it was completed got a couple outside photo's while the rain cloud lead up for a couple seconds...
Now the wheels completed (notice the hat of the rotor is now red) I removed all the wheels, cleaned inside and out. Waxed wheels with Griot's BOW, and cleaned all fenderwells, calipers, shocks, braided steel brake lines, and suspension parts.
Engine all completed. Cleaned with Griot's garage engine cleaner and topped off with Griot's garage engine bay dressing than excess wiped off with mf.
Thank you for looking!
