1Z Einszett Gummi Pflege Stick is long-lasting protection for all types of rubber seals and trim. It prevents freezing in cold weather and drying in hot weather. The Gummi Pflege Stick keeps rubber seals elastic and like new. It brightens and refreshes color, too. Excellent UV protection inhibitors protect exterior rubber from harmful exposure to the sun.
Here was another great opportunity to try another fantastic 1Z product. This was the Gummi Pflege, or Rubber Care stick. Being that summer is approaching, I'm seeing that more and more customers are inquiring about a product that does exactly what the Rubber Care Stick does. Very simple to use, and quite effective. Take a look below.
As you see here, this weather seal was in dire need of some attention
Before application, spend a few seconds shaking up the bottle so the ingredients are ready to prep the applicator.
Typically, I'll apply pressure to the applicator so the sponge gets prepped. You'll feel a plastic tab that can be pressed to prep the pad.
This comes in a shoe polish type applicator, it couldn't get any easier!
Apply even pressure and slide the applicator up the weather stripping. Do small sections at a time to ensure the stripping gets a complete, even coat.
You can see here that we're applying just enough pressure to have the product properly coat the rubber weather strip.
Make sure you get both sides of the weather seal. You don't want one side more conditioned than the other. When that happens, the dry side can steal some of the moisture from the conditioned side.
You can see it leaves an nice, natural, matte finish. Looks much healthier than it did before.
This is what your applicator may look like after usage on a neglected weather seal.
Overall this product definitely gets an A in my book. Simple to use and as effective as you need it to be. It's perfect all year round to help avoid your seals from freezing in the winter, and from drying up in the summer.
