1996 Subaru Legacy

On my hands I had a 1996 Subaru Legacy LSi. It was a tough detail as the car was never detailed since it came off the lot.

- Clay-bar Using Meguiars Clay Bar and Quick Detailer

- Second Wash

- # 1 Polish Using Meguiars Dual Action Clean Polish (DACP #83) Hood and Roof were subject to numerous passes, rest of the car was done twice with #83

- # 2 Meguiars Speed Glaze #80 x 2 on Hood and Roof

- # 3 Meguiars #26 Hi-Tech Yellow Wax

- # 4 Meguiars NXT Synthetic Wax 24 Hours after

- Polished Headlights/Taillights with Meguiars PlasticX

- Windows treated with Stoner’s Invisible Glass, followed by RainX

- Trim and Wheel Wells Treated with Poorboys Trim Restore

- Tires Dressed with Megiuars Endurance Tire Gel



Interior



- All Purpose Cleaner and Spot Remover on all carpets to remove stains

- Vynlex on Dash and Plastic

- Lexol Leather Cleaner and Condition on Leather

- Meguiars Odor Eliminator on all Carpets and Headliner

- Poorboys Trim Restore on Pedals

- Interior Glass wiped down.



I used 4" Pads as the bigger ones were doing a good job with my 7336 (time for a rotary).

Good turnaround, what is it about Subaru owners, huh? Every non-WRX one I've seen has been drop dead FILTHY. Looks solid all around, one thing you might want to consider is striping the carpet. When you make your final runs in it, just go one way with the first pass, than the opposite with the other. When you get done it'll look something like this:

It doesn't take long, but its made a huge difference in the eyes of my clients. Your mileage might vary, depending on what your clients like.



P.S. in retrospect, I did a terrible job on that one. Try to get your stripes a lil straighter than that .

I was thinking about doing that but didn't want it to be too tacky, but now that I look at it, it looks good.
