Just finished this 1982 Rolls Royce Silver Spur this weekend. The car only had 47K on it with the orginal paint. I had to go old school with the single stage paint. Meguair’s #83 and #80 did the job nicely and followed up with #7. I finished it off with Autoglym HD wax. I know a lot of people don’t care for this wax but I really like on lighter colors.

As you can see the paint was very dull and oxidized

Very nice job. Ive used AutoGlym HD off and on for a long time now, and really like it as well. It lasts longer than waxes 3 times its price and looks great as well.

Very nice turnaround! I really don't care for #83 and #80 is mediocre at best (IMO). However, I CAN'T argue with those results!! Fantastic turnaround!

Great work. Megs #83 and Megs #80 used to be staples in my detailing cabinet. They do work well on single stage paint.

you achieved a beautiful transformation from dull to glossy on this classic. what did you use on the whitewalls?

#83 and #80 does ok on modern clear coats compared to some other products but on single stage I have found they work very well

Great job , i bet the owner was amazed

thanks yeah he was pretty happy. He has 3 other garages on his property with some more gems to keep me busy.

Thanks Pat. Its been awhile since I worked on single stage.

thanks I used Power clean on the white walls. Power clean is a bit pricy but man it works so well on so many things.

Great work Chad, that looks amazing!

thank you very much Todd

Wow that 83 really brought out the gloss after just three passes.

that was only one pass with 83 and thank you

The owner must have been very happy with those results on his drive.:rockon

I did my white Mazda with Autoglym and itd id a great job on there too.

thanks and yes I really love HD on white

Great job, Chad! That car is pure class.

thanks Mike

Great turnaround on the RR Chad, great to see old favorites use again.

Thanks Angelo. Glad I did have to go to the wool like we spoke about. It might have cleaned it up a little better but with that 30 year old paint I wanted play it safe.
