I introduced my self way back in Feb. of this year and got caught up in work. life and showin my Ghia over the summer.
A little backround.....
I have had Ghia's since the mid 70's (my 1st car was a 67 Ghia) I think for a mass prodused car they have some of the most beatiful lines. I bought this one in 1995 with the idea of using her as a nice weekend driver. Well, one thing led to another and soon she was disassembled to the point that if I wanted to do a comrehensive and detailed restoration this would be my chance. Finally in 2006 she went to her 1st show "Volksfest 16" in Columbus Oh. and took 1st place in the Ghia class. Since then she (I call her Sophia as in Sophia Loren. She had great curves too!) has won many awards and recognition. I love to drive and show her whenever I can. I had the opportunity thi show her in my 1st concours, the 32nd annual Ault Park Concours. What a great experience! I hope I get invited back. Hear's a few pics;
