Auto Detail & Restoration
The 275 GTB has been said to be one of Ferrrari’s most beautiful road cars. IMO it is not because it is a Ferrari but because of the timeless design by Pininfaria built by Carrozzeria Scaglietti. In 1965 the 275 GTB took form with a “short nose” and 3 2V carbs. Due to issues with “lift” at high speed the 1966 models were improved. In 1966 the 275 GTB saw a refinement in elongating the nose creating the “long nose” They were offered with either 3 2V carbs or 6 2V carbs. In 1967 the infamous 4 cam came to light. They were identified by the “bubble” in the hood. All these vehicles have great resemblance to the ever so famous GTO’s of Ferrari racing fame.

This vehicle is one fewer than 20 alloy body cars. (confirmed by owner of 30 plus years) While most were reserved for competition this was delivered to Luigi Chinetti of New York in street trim. There were a little over 200 GTB’s made in 1966. This vehicle retains most of its original paint with only mild touch ups through the years. It has been carefully preserved and upkept. It has been detailed to keep its appearance as new as possible while not over doing it. While some will allow the vehicle to “patina” there is a fine line between letting it go and keeping it up. This vehicle has regularly competed in historic events, rallies, and shows. It even enjoys regular drives throughout the driving season. It never sits.

While it is not safe at all to remove all RIDS and defects I will do my best to greatly improve the finish. It is time to address several years of wipe downs during events and tours. The LED's show alot. It honestly does'nt look that bad in the sun.

This exact vehicle is resposible for me staying in detailing and leaving a good occupation. I fell in love when I first saw it. I was just starting professionally with a premier shop. Little did I know several years later it would be placed in my hands the first time. I have been working with this collection now for several years and this was our second meeting. I am humbled to have had the trust to take this machine out and enjoy all of what she is about. It truly is by sound and sight a work of art. Personally I don't think you ever forget that first car that stopped you in your tracks. Nevertheless getting to refine and drive it. I have to take the time to thank this owner for the trust and experiences he has given me with his collection.

Thanks for looking.

Holy cow, that's an amazing classic! Great work John, a truly stunning piece of history and you just made it better.
