    Crunchy Backing on Carpet Mats

Floor mats are one thing, Lonnie, I'm not sure I would try this on something load-bearing like a tire. And of course the cracks I got in the mats from trying to flatten them out when they were hard are still there, so if a tire is cracked it's not going to help that.

    Looks good, including the view.

    Crunchy Backing on Carpet Mats

So this actually seemed to work. Because the mats weren't lying flat, there were some areas where the mixture pooled up a bit, and those areas seemed to be "over-plasticized" and remained wet-looking and sticky (and soft). However I've let them sit for a week or two and those spots seem to be...

    PANEL WIPES

Yeah, I was going to say "that's what the people who make panel wipes want you to think". The "company detailer" on the OPT forum was trying to tell us that IPA leaves residue behind ("IPA clogs paint and impacts bonding with the paint") and you need to use the OPT panel wipe...even thought the...

    PANEL WIPES

I will note that Adam of Adam's Polishes stated in a TRC video (the one where he's doing a winter wash on his Audi wagon, I think it was white) that he thinks panel wipes are nonsense, even for coatings. Here it is:

I could argue it would be better to do it before "the end". Alternatively, PBMG must have a sales/marketing manager, perhaps someone with more time and more people skills than me could get them on the phone and convince them that it's worth their time to have an employee promoting PBMG/Sonax...

Funny, just in the last few days you posted something over there that made me wonder if yakky was you. I think it's possible that you/we could get a new forum off the ground. When I say "we", I just mean that collectively it would seem that it could be publicized enough. Although when Dana...

Are you a member at AGO? I guess it was last summer when the scuttlebutt was that the forum was going to shut down, one of the members there started up his own forum and expected that everyone would flock to it, and...no one did, so he shut his down. I think the problem with starting a new...

Unfortunately no one has the answer to that. Perhaps the forums are important enough to them that they don't want to lose them, so they updated the software and keep them, but not important enough to them to dedicate employee time to it.

Well, they gave enough of a crap to update them to new software. Why, after that expense, they don't make more use of them, I don't know. I have often wondered why M37 didn't start their own forum, but apparently they think forums are a thing of the past.

As I said, as far as I know there are no administrators here, I'm not sure what they are doing at AGO. Gearhead is the Mod here, but he doesn't have full admin privileges, from what he's told me.

Do you mean at another forum? I don't think here or AGO have any administrators anymore, so no new members. Although someone seems to be clearing the spam at AGO, not sure if they have admin privileges, Gearhead clears the spam here, but I don't think he can approve new members.

The holy grail, by TW??? Clear coat repair

I guess no one remembers the short-lived Optimum Clearcoat Restorer. I passed on it because you had to keep it in the freezer and it was full of isocyanates. I looked for an SDS to see what was in this TW stuff, but I was not successful.

Question on ceramic adherance on new car w/ Simoniz on it

It may get more slick as the coating finishes curing. I think the "confusion" is part of the mystique. It's not like they're selling products on the shelf at WalMart, they're selling to "us", and we revel in all the nuance. Don't we? Also, bear in mind the head of CarPro US was a forum...
