Your English is fine...

Can you get some Meguiars Scratch X? That should be a big help to you

There is a right tool for every job, and that job requires a PC. You won't get them out by hand. Swirl removal requires a machine. Its great that you want to work by hand, but its just not practical to do swirl removal by hand. It is physically possible, but very labor intensive. If this isn't the kind of work that you do every day, then it is just not something you are going to be able to do by hand. Its like trying to chew through a tree with your teeth. Either take it to a pro or get a PC and do it yourself. You'll need the PC to do it though.

Oh my goodness jngrbrman agreeeeeeeeeeeeees with me some what!!!!!!!! CAN'T WE ALL GET ALONG Thanks the PC would be great !!!!!!!!!!!!!! But if you take it to professional you can MANTAIN the vehicle after that.BUT I UNDERSTAND

skip the pc and get a rotary !! that paint is salvagable but its going to require lots of machine work .. id like to see some after photos

Whatever NEW AGAIN wrote doesn't really make sense, but if he is saying to get a PC, then that is good advice. I don't know that I would suggest a rotary to someone who doesn't even have much experience with a PC yet. That is kind of skipping ahead. I don't even use a rotary and I think I do a pretty good job with a PC. Its not always about the product or the type of tool you are using. Its all about the process.

Here is an example of severe swirl removal with PC.

And another $100 here. I've tried seemingly every pad/product/process combination I could think of with the PC and none of them do paint correction like a rotary. Plus it is time consuming as h**l. You simply gotta heat that paint up...no way around it. I use my PC for final polishes, glaze, and sealants only. For that it works great. Don't waste your time and money trying to correct swirls and scratches with a PC.

Observe the pictures above. And $100 wouldn't cover it. That is a $150 job at least. ;) I don't consider it a waste of time to remove swirls with a PC. I do it all the time. Again, refer to the pictures above. That is take from the same spot at the same angle after working with a PC and DACP. I don't think you can question that a PC can remove swirls unless those pictures are just not showing up for you.

A rotary probably does do it better and faster, but would you really suggest using a rotary to a newbie? When the results can be obtained with a safer machine, then I just don't see where the risk of a rotary in the hands of a beginner is worth it. He would most likely burn his paint right off if he doesn't know what he is doing.

Jngrbrdman,
Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to bash the PC. I own one and I love it. I very much respect you and have learned from your posts. However, pictures do not always tell the full story. I can take two pictures from of the same area from a minute different angle and see entirely different results. So I don't base my opinions on pictures, but rather experience. And as I stated previously, my experience has been that a PC cannot do serious paint correction. A PC can round the edges off of scratches, and that's about it. You can then apply a glaze and a sealant with a lot of fillers and achieve some pretty good results. But you are not removing the scratches. You can't really compare the pics you posted with the pics BoJaber posted. Apples and Oranges. His paint is whooped. Do you really think he can correct that paint with a PC? I don't. I know I wouldn't even try. So he should take it to a professional if he wants it done right. A PC on that paint IS as waste of time. Just my 2 cents.

Like you said, a picture can be deceptive. I take my pictures from the most unforgiving angles possible. That hood is not filled in with glazes. That is a 500 watt halogen lamp in the reflection. If there were swirls on that hood, then you would see them. It doesn't get more unforgiving than that. If I had a 5 MP camera then I could probably get in there and take better shots, but I don't have one so those will have to do.

A PC with the right pad and product can do great things. I'm not suggesting that you use it for serious paint correction. It has its limits just like a rotary has limits. I don't think those pictures show serious paint correction. Its something that a couple passes with DACP and a red meguiar's pad would fix. I could get those out with a PC. I've seen a lot worse. A rotary would do it faster, but I still know that a PC could do it.

Just to compare those pics side by side...

I just don't see how his paint is more screwed than that Neon was. However, we are both entitled to what we feel can solve the problem. Again, like you said... a picture doesn't always show the real thing. That one is pretty unforgiving, but I just don't see how a metallic blue truck with some swirls is too much for a PC to handle. They make that thing to go to a 6 for a reason. ;)

Let's all be friendly here people!! Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and your opinion is not that of eveyrone else. Just chill out!!
