ive been detailing for a long time, and i want to try zaino. i dont need the wash, clay, polish for getting out scratches, i just want to get the crazy zaino shine. what are the bare essentials in order to get the shine?

wash

clay

polish

seal

bare minimum- ZAIO but you won't get that killer shine if your paint has swirls. Machine polishing helps produce gloss.

Z-CS- adds another dimension over ZAIO

My take: Perfect the paint before you apply the zaino. IE no swirls, scratches. I would suggest picking up Z5pro and CS if you are looking bare minimum.

cool... im really good at the prep work, with rotary and PC. ive been using #16 for a while, just looking at taking it to another level. like i said, i dont need their clay, wash, polishes, i use optimum for most of that stuff.

so z5pro and CS will do the trick? i keep reading about these z6 wipedowns inbetween and stuff.

after i read my original post, i guess i should clear it up a bit. i just need the essential zaino products for the great shine AFTER i do all of the prep work. i wasnt looking to just wash my car and throw on some zaino, it will be swirl free before i do so.

For that color, I think you would be best off with Z5pro and CS. Of course, Z8 is the icing on the cake. If you want, you could use ZAIO prior to the Z5pro. Z2pro in the mix will give you a bit more gloss.

thanks for your help greg. i think i'll go with the zfx, z5pro, z6, and maybe the z8 if it really is that good. what do you think? will that yield some great shine?

Will that yield a great shine? :cooleek: YES!

I would recommend the CS too. It's a crazy product.

its a vw gti 20th anniversary... called "jazz blue"

I love that color!!!! Very rare!! I wish they made R32's in that color!

Just make sure the paint is prepped good. I know those VW clears can be a pain.

If I owned the car this is what I would do.

Z5pro w/zfx x3

CS

z8

I can't wait to see the pics when you are done.
