Z2 User's Question

I have a question for those that use Zaino Z2.

Everytime I use the product it takes about 5 minutes to haze over. I find this to be odd as the owner's at Zaino say it will take approximately 30 minutes to 2 hours to haze over and cure.

I live in the North East and mostly apply the product out of direct sunlight with the temps around 70 degrees and humidity around 35%. I have never had to wait more than 5 minutes to remove the product, I test for dryness per Zaino instructions, giving it the finger rub test, where you rub a finger across the haze and if it easily disappears the product has cured.

Question is, does this happen on a normal basis for regular users or are you having to wait the Zaino specified time for the product to cure? Should I leave the product for at least a half hour even though the product has hazed and dried?

I was a Zaino Z2 user for a long time then switched to Blackfire Wet Diamond with Polycharger, now I am testing them against each other- as I am consistently impressed by all the positive feedback with Zaino. It has to be the most popular Polymer sealent made.

Any feedback is greatly appreciated :)

I'm guessing your not using ZFX when this happens? With ZFX I could probably take it off after doing a panel, but I wait like 15 minutes anyhow just in case.

How much do you put on? I can barely even tell my Zaino is on the car (hazing/etc) using the amount that they recommend, but it seems to protect/shine decent? For two coats on an average sized car I usually use ~1/4 of the ZFX mixing bottle which I think is one ounce?

You are fine. Low humidity and warmer temps will reduce the curing time. If it swipes clean with your finger you are fine.

If its cooler out or high humidity that will increase the cure time.

Also like Drummer said if you apply it very thin it will cure faster too.

Thanks for the replies.

Yes, I am not using flash cure at this time, all that you guys mentioned is true. The Z2 does dry fast if you spread it thin and I prefer to use Z6 on my application pad.

Well that puts this one to bed, I can rest in peace knowing the Zaino is on correctly.

Thanks again!!!

Drying/hazing is one thing, curing is another.
