Yet another Zaino Question

I recent;y got some zaino and really like it. I've always used megs UQD to remove light road contaminents and dust with good success. My question is, can I keep using the UQD despite the fact that I have zaino layered on the car? I know that all Zaino products are meant to work with each other and nothing else.

I do have a lot of Z8 left but this is more of a very last step product by the sound of it. If I cannot use my UQD then I think that its time for some Z6 to replace it with, correct?

I've used the UQD on Z-2 (to use up the bottle). It seemed more difficult to work with than the Z-6, and I don't think that the surface of the paint was as slick compared to the Z-6.

I don't think that the products are incompatible, but I would defer to others on that.

I ended up giving my UQD to a friend. (I don't like to waste products.) I prefer the Z-6.

....I would think the concerns about potential incompatibility would have more to do with bonding issues between coats (i.e. layering Zaino on top of 3rd party products). IME I have used other products like ONR over Zaino without issue. However, whether or not Z-6 protects and enhances the existing layers of Zaino sealants better than other QD's like UQD, I couldn't tell ya. When I have used Zaino, I usually only use the Z-6 during application of Z-5 or Z-2 (if at all).

Well the car is currently sitting covered up with a coat of Z2 on it. What I wanted to do before taking her out tonight was getting the like dust off of it maybe with the UQD (the only QD I have) and throwing on some Z8 for that final amazing POP.

....well, I guess the question at this point is how the Z-8 will perform in combination with the UQD. I really don’t know to be honest. ....maybe try it on an area first? Barring any immediate issues (smearing, residue, etc.), the only thing that might be a problem is the durability of the Z-8 being compromised by whatever the UQD leaves behind on the finish.

I have 3 coats of Z5 and 3 coats of Z2. Z6 in between. I've tried my other

QD's since then and not sure I like them with the Zaino. The only one that didn't give me any issues was FK1 425.

If I were to use Z6 as a QD, I would dilute it with a little water. I use Z6 between coats of Z5, and after a wash I will spray down a coat for a little gloss enhancement, that is if I don't feel like using Z8.

On the other hand, if I need to remove dust or light contaminants, the whole truck gets washed. I won't risk marring my black paint that I spent HOURS polishing.

I've been removing light dust and road contaminents with the UQD with good results. But now after using zaino, I really dont know what to do. The UQD was very stubborn upon removal from my paints surface. It would smear a lil and wasn't very slick, as it usually tends to be. SO, I decided to spray the car down with Z8 instead and the transaction was smooth as butter. The towel simply glided over the paint.

I think that im just gonna go and pick up some Z6 today after work. I really need something to remove that dust. I cant see myself washing it every two days when there is no need.
