I am gonna be detailing my dad's 2002 lifeguard yellow F150 today. And i was wondering if this combo was good. He is not worried about scratches because they are to deep to get out because it was used as a construction truck before he bought it for cheap. So is this arsenal good for it?



Step 1 Megs gold car wash



Step 2 Megs clay kit



Step 3 Megs cleaner wax



Step 4 Megs nxt 2.0 wax



Step 5 (Dont think it is necessary for the truck) Maybe Megs caranuba wax

Unable to find #26 yellow caranuba wax at local stores unfortunately.
 
Not sure how the NXT will play with the cleaner wax. If you are going to clay, what is the point of the cleaner wax?
 
I would for go the cleaner wax as NXT has some mild cleaners in it already...



I would replace the cleaner wax step with a mild polish, I think that will cut any oxidation and haze out of the paint and restore it a lot more then you'd think.



Otherwise the process looks good.
