wool rotary pads...

Nope, I love em. Stay away from wool cutting pads on clearcoated paints, but wool polishing pads do great job, better cut than foam, a little more marring but overall my pick. My usual combo is Powergloss/wool polishing followed by Optimum/Propel green. Leaves a real nice finish.

I've used Meg's Wool cutting pad on OEM Cured as well as panels I've shot myself (cured time less than 30 days) and love it (except for the lint)

Optimum has some lambs wool pads (I've been using the black one) that doesn't lint at all. LC has some "Foamed Wool" pads that I've just started testing (some lint but not alot).

I've recently gone back to using wool as I think it cuts better than foam and as such doesn't require as many passes (my personal experience) as I would with just a foam pad alone.

Not all Wool pads are the same (just like w/foam pads) so you have to use the right one for the application/paint your dealing with.

I've always liked wool but for a time I went only with foam. When I tried out a few wool pads from LC, ValuGard and Optimum I feel in love with them again and carry several with me all the time now.

THey actually run cooler than foam pads so in a sense they are safer to use than foam.

Check out Prowax.com. They sell a 50/50 wool synthetic blend pad. It can give you a little more piece of mind since it is not 100% wool. I think it works great in place of a foam cutting pad.
