What I'm looking for is the next step in my detailing collection or process. I have been washing and waxing my car for the last couple of years with Zaino Z1, Z2 and Z7. Its been working well and I have no reason to switch away from it but I'm not married to it either. I use one bucket, a wool mit, cotton applicator pads and an Absorber to dry. I wipe the wax off with microfiber towels that I recently started to use versus a 100% cotton towel - that was an example of a good step! I also have been using clay for a while either from Zaino or Mothers and using the Z7 as lubricant.
Will I gain anything from using a PC in terms of wax durability or shine? My paint is not yet scratched so I don't have to worry about working into the car with rubbing compound. Also I seem to have a problem with getting the car REALLY clean before applying the polish so I end up with a black applicator pad so what addition can I make to help that? Basically I won the weekly sweepstakes :up so I'm looking to dive into the store and pick up stuff I ordinarily might not have, like the PC.
The cars I work on are a couple of '02 WRXs (black/silver) and a '91 300ZX-TT (gunmetal). The black WRX is going to need serious love so if I got the PC suggestions for pads are welcome.
