ok, so its starting to get cold up here, and ive decided over the next week or two, to apply my winter wax... now i recently heard about Collinite 845 which i think i'll order and try putting on my car... i also have some Meguiar's #21 Synthetic Sealant laying around in my bag...

my question is.. should i use Collinite 845 on top of the M21? or vice-versa? or just forget the M21 altogether, and put a couple of layers of 845? and how long do i have to wait to apply Collinite 845 between layers???

looks aren't a big importance for me, since its winter soon, and my car will be covered in snow anyways. i just wanna my car to be protected..

collinite should outlast 845 by itself putting another wax may just weaken the bond collinite makes on your paint because of the solvents.

I like M21 and the results I have gotten from using it, I also love the durability of 845.

Do a coat of M21 then a Collinte 845 topper.

having M21 as a base coat wont effect the collinte 845 from bonding to the surface???

I've used M21 by itself and wasn't impressed with its durability at all. IMHO I say go with just the IW845 x2 coats and that should work perfect 5 - 7 months durability....

i was thinking of applying about 3-5 layers for extra durability because it gets pretty brutal here in Calgary over the winters (lots of salt/gravel on the road, and wet snow, nonstop)

but yeah, i think i'll go with the layering of collinite 845... hopfully it'll last the winter

How is the 845 in the looks dept.? Depth , gloss , wet look ect...

Is it easy on off ?? What about white residue ? Will it hide some micro marring ?

Is this a nuba or what is it's content / classification ??

Thank you

845 is awesome man. I just used it on the bike and helmet last night, and I'll be putting a layer on the BMW this weekend. It's really thin when you shake it up so it goes on smooth as butter, let it haze a little and wipe it right off. One quick layer after wiping the helmet down gave me the beads posted above.

I love it already and will order another bottle on my next supply order.

I like M21 myself. But I have never tried 845. M21 has given me great service of about 4 months. I have used every wax know to man except 845. I'll have to give it a try. Vintage for RX8 and 845 for wifes Hun-Day.
