What do you guys think?

I Dont Do Detail.
My cousin said that she wanted to help me get going with my business and this is what we were thinking about buying. (getting a loan for)

Im, cancelling the Towel/chamois wringer and the Vinyl package for advertising on the sides of your trailer.

But i am adding a stainless blow drier that has a filter. and weighs "only 8lbs!"

Total price NOT including tax, kic, doc ect... $8437.95

Kind of pricey if you ask me.
What size trailer is that? Looks like NO ROOM for expanding.
I bought a 4x8, and it will not hold all of my stuff.

Look on ebay for something. Or build your own. I built mine for under $1500 COMPLETE. If you do not know how, do a search and look at pictures. You can always ask also.

I konw for that kind of money, I would be buying an ENCLOSED trailer.

wow. No offense, but that seems ridiculously expensive. I can't see a reason to pay that for flame graphics and mod trailer wheels.
I am not a detailer for hire, but I have seen enough mobile guys to think that an enclosed trailer might make a little more sense...the ability to lock up the expensive equipment seems like a good idea. You can get a decent enclosed 5x8 for about $2500.00 and still probably get all the equipement listed on the trailer you linked for only a few grand more. Then you have the big slab sides to add your business name, logo and phone number big enough to see while rolling down the road.

Again, I am the farthest guy here from knowing what works best for a mobile detailer, but that trailer seems like it's a pretty high margin sale for the vendor. I guess if your tow rig is a smaller car and not a truck, that idea might be the way to go, but I'd put the rig together myself and save a few grand.

I don't know if building one yourshelf is an option or not, but for that kind of money you could have an enclosed trailer, hot/steam pressure washer, carpet extractor, big generater and canopy plus all your supplies. Also if you can build it yourself if anything breaks down you will know how to fix it.

Just some rough prices:
5500watt gen $900-1200
Pressure washer (hot) $2500
150 Water tank $250
Hose reels $100-150 ea
Carpet ext. $750
Shop vac $100-200
Canopy $100-200
Trailer open $700-1000
Trailer enclosed $2000-3000

Check out ebay there's a complete unit for sale a little over 400 starting bid only draw back you have to pick up in Orlando but then maybe time for vacation what you are looking at seems high priced. GOOD LUCK

Just have Chris (TexasTB) build one for you. :D :D. Check out his pictures of his set-up- really good if you ask me. But either way you can make or have someone make you a trailer for way less than that and have exactly what you want in it.

Definatly build your own. I dont think it would be to hard, I mean come on Chris did it... LOL JK!!! the 9k seems like alot to throw down for that trailer.

Hey DUDE....I just seen that....LMAO.........
NOT FUNNY! Buwahahahaha

not bad..looks good...but 2 things

1..remove the tags from the towels..big scratch monkeys..

2...make sure you vent the the enclosure where your powerwasher and generator are housed before starting up......on hot days fumes will build up..baboom ..and you do not want to end up in the next county...lol....

but it looks good....water tank looks huge..how many gallons is it.....

nice job...

Al

I'd suggest placing the MF's in bags. There will likely be dust kicked up and a few particles could swirl up a "finished" job pretty quickly.

Thanks for the input!

I use the blue ones for body and the yellow for windows but I didn't really like the tags either.

Yeah i open the top, and both the doors on the enclosure before starting, kaboom would not be a good thing! lol.

LOL... yeah the tank is HUGE!! lol.. its 250+gal. I wanted a smaller one but i got it free so...

Thanks again guys!
