Ways to Apply Collinite 845?

I have read a few threads on multiple boards, and still don't really know the best methods of applying IW.

DA finishing pad? speed 3-1/2

Damp foam applicator by hand?

One section at a time, wait 30 sec remove?

Do the entire car, wait until all the solvents evaporate, 1-2 hours, then remove?

I have only been able to do a very small test. because of all the high humidity and rain lately.

Thanks

I have applied it with a terry applicator by hand. The thinner to better. Thick coats only server as a substitute for the gym! Thin=you win. Easy removal, low dusting. I apply one pannel, move to next, go back remove previous panel, apply another and remove previous. I apply all waxes in the shade to allow proper hazing. In the sun I find the top dries too fast and the bottom stays wet.

Super great product. It has been by go to product for winterizing by truck and looks great.

Also it si pretty inexpensive for what you get in terms of product size and looks/durability.

Apply it by hand with a foam applicator. Super thin is the way and wipe it off before it hazes/dries completely.

I also apply with a foam applicator, seems to work best for me that way. When warmed in hot tap water and shaken, it spreads farther than any "wax" type product I have ever used. A breeze to remove as well. I do three panels go back remove and do three more. A trully great product.

How many 845 users let it full haze over? It seams to me it takes over an hour or more to full dry and haze. Is this everyone else take?

How many do a section, wait 30 seconds, then remove?

Just wondering if durability is really compromised if you remove it when it is still wet.

Sorry for all the questions, It just seams that many apply this product differently.

Thanks

In my oppinion the only wrong way to apply 845 is if you put it on your tires, I have left it haze for 1 hour and I have removed it after one minute and either way it lasts a long long time. it is like Nike, just do it

The weather will start getting a little cooler in Jersey, I'll have to try both ways out. I did a section on snow blower and it came off pretty easily after 1 hour 15 minutes.

Dave, would 845 on your tires eliminate ABS? :rofl

cheapshot after your PMs, I decided to break out my bottle of IW and give it another go. On a cool day (mid - upper 60s) and in the shade, I found that using a damp applicator sponge that going panel-by-panel, apply/remove, apply/remove etc, it went on like a dream, removed just as easy and left a deep red finish that's crazy slippery. I might just have to go get some more when this bottle runs out.

Don, It's been getting a little cooler here in Jersey, So now it's finding the time, on a nice day. Thanks for all your help.

Just applied some Collinite on my Dodge truck picked it up at Autozone and wanted to give it a try. I love the shine but dang I have never had so much dust on my truck. Applied to one entire side at a time and buffed off probably in like 10 minutes pretty warm today hazed quickly on black paint.

I'd be careful doing it like that.I applied it to a customers black dodge ram and had to use Pro Polish and IPA to get it off.I applied it to the whole hood and then went to remove it right after. It took me an hour just to get it off. With that said I was in the sun and it was ridiculously humid. But still have never had a problem doing one panel at a time before this...

Ah ok good to know it did dry rather quickly, but I had it in my garage probably a good thing I didn't wait too long to take it off or have it directly in the sun. IMO it come off about the same as Natty's blue.
