I was able to finish the white M coupe last night which gave me an opportunity to help out Aspire Detailing this morning. We drove over to Camas WA. bright and early. The detail started at 8 am. We were packed up by 1 pm so a pretty good day.

Shane takes care of this S4 on a regular bases so naturally the car was in very good shape. The goal was to get it ready for Opti Coat. There were some water spots on the horizontal panels that needed to be eliminated along with some waterless wash induced RIDS. The car had no cobwebs or swirls. This is a beautiful shade of blue.

Process

wash with dawn
101 with HD yellow foam and PC (me)
101/301 mix yellow foam pad flex 3401 (shane)
Sonax Perfect finish HD black pad pc (me) blue lc pad flex 3401 (Shane)
Alcohol wipe
Opti Coat - paint and wheels
Opti bond on tires
Optimum metal polish on exhaust

Some after pictures while we were waiting for the customer to come back from lunch

Camera: Olympus EPL-1 and Panasonic 20mm 1.7 lens

Thank you all very much! The car had Powerlock on it previously, a product that I have never tried. While washing the car with dawn, Shape kept pre soaking the finish with powerclean but after a rinse the paint would just bead like crazy. :D
