To Buff or NOT to Buff? That is the Question!

Hello All!!

This is a great fourm!

I was wondering, how do you all, use your machines, either the orbitals or the rotarys on the areas in which the pads are too large? e.g the top of bumbers, the window colums, etc, the peaks and radius of repaints.

I use an orbital but after looking at the end result of some of the rotary jobs on this site, particularlly the job done by Anthony on the black merc, man! I'm getting a rotary! If I was the owner, I would but the new car in the garage and drive the detailed one! I'm getting a rotary!

I mainly use 7.5" Lake Country Curved Edge pads on my Porter Cable DA polisher. The beveled edge allows me to buff in narrow and hard to reach spots.
