Time for new combos....

Today I took a couple of hours to once more try to get 'that look' from the hood of my Volvo. Also, I was bored with the treatment I had there, starting last October or November, 2xAIO, 3xSG, 2xUPP and more recently 2xSouveran (which dried white on all rock ships, making them very visible  ).

So, back to today, after qd'ing the hood, and claying using FI as lub, I cleaned it with 1Z acrysol to remove whatever was there.

Then I used the rotary, menzerna ip and a polishing pad, i did all the hood.

Next I changed to a finishing pad and used menzerna FP on all of the hood, again.

Great looks after these 2 steps, as most already know , but it lacked deep and shine, it was very clear tho.

Last prep step was with the PC, a finishing pad and the PO85U Menzerna FP. I applied to all hood then went back and removed.

This was the look I was looking for, definitely, very glossy, deep and crispy shine.

As a last step, I applied WG Sealing to half the hood, and, as said before by others, it goes very easy and after 20 minutes removed very easy also, tho that oily feeling/look was there.

What did it add? Slickness, that's about it.

On the rest of the hood I'll use EX-P as soon as it arrives and maybe Z5.

Yea, at the end of the month a couple friends and I are going to detail our cars for the coming spring, and plan on using IP and FP before going to Z-5 and Z-2. My friend uses autoworks stuff, so we'll see if I like that any better or not. However, what is that other FP you mentioned...obviously something that you only get over there?
