Teaser: Developing a new wax

Good Afternoon Gents,

If you haven't caught the hint. I'm in the process of creating my own automotive wax. I've ran a few batches and things have turned out excellent. I'm using over 50% carnauba per container from the Brazilian palm tree Copernicia prunifera. Compare that to other waxes, 50% carnauba! It's about time you get the good stuff! I've selected a supplier that I trust, and am pleased with the quality assurance system they have in place.

Be on the heads up early February for the finished product.

After I presoaked and ONR'd my 4"x4" test panel. I applied the wax. Let me tell you, it's not a cool color, it doesn't smell like bubblegum but; it created a amazing depth and was very slick to the touch. Unlike other waxes it doesn't haze up white when you apply it. It's applies clear with a distinct coating. I was very impressed with the wax, I haven't used another that left as wet a finish.

I'll be giving out 5oz. samples to reputable detailers. PM me if you're interested and stay tuned!

Any oils? any cleaners? what price point are you going to be? WOWO or let it hase?

I can keep going but for now I will stop

I have used some other natural waxes, a protective ingredient, and a ingredient to keep the wax pliable. It will not be a filler wax, I don't believe it that. I think all the correction should be in the polish/compound, where a wax should just enhance the appearance and protect. All of the details will be released later on, when the product comes out. I've gotten a lot of PMs! If I don't respond don't be upset, I'll be keeping you guys in mind when I wrap up the final product.

Thanks for the interest!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't all waxes fill to some extent?

your efforts I think will pay off well, especially that you know what people want

and you know how much 50%+ nuba by volume cost out there, you sure have me as

future customer :)

Best I have tried yet is swissvax concorso and it does hide on some paint

while in other paint it amplifies the swirls, said a member recently who reviewed it.

I agree with David. When you apply and remove a wax, it leaves part of itself behind. Scratches are so small that as the applicator drags across them, I am sure wax kind of levels them out, instead of following the countour of each scratch.

I think all waxes fill imperfections to some degree...it just comes down to the clarity of the wax, color of paint, and various lighting conditions (and probably other factors) all coupled together that either hides those imperfections, or makes them remain visible after the wax is applied/removed.

To some extent, yes definitely. What I was referring to, and what I believe Jakerooni what referring to is that my product doesn't contain specific elements like OTC products to hide a botched polish job (swirls).

Thanks for the kind words Harry. That's means a lot coming from you, you do great work :bow.

Don,

You buy stuff from Scott Mantz??

You should try to pawn some off on him to see if he could try to sell some.
