Tommorow I am going to detail a 97 F150 that belongs to my buddies stepdad. It's never seen wax and it's only been washed a few times in it's life, work truck. He wants to see what I can do to help bring back the finish. Now I have a PC that's non working right now because I don't have a pad for it and I only have some very basic detailing supplies. I have some #7, #26, S100, Endurance High Gloss and A-Z Wheel Cleaner, EF Engine Degreaser & P21S Total Auto Wash. I also have some MF towels through Pakshak which work very well, and some older cotton towels that are alittle on the old side but are clean. I know I"m going to be busting my a$$ on this thing tomm because I don't have the tools or products you guys do. The best way I can describe this thing as far paint goes is this what I think it would need. Wash, Clay, DACPx2, VM, and S100. It's cobwebbed to hell and it's life has not been a clean one. Any pointers any of you may have to help make this alittle easier??????

Without a PC, I would stay away from the DACP for now. It'll bust you up to do that on a full sized truck twice. JMO.

I would VM it, #7 and S100. The #7 will hide the swirls and scratches a bit until you get all set up, and then you can use the PC and DACP on it.

I did the truck today. It was beyond filthy!!!! it was just down right nasty. I"m convinced about something. Alot of people in my town neglect there cars. I've done a few of them and I think it's safe to say that doing it by hand just doesn't cut it. The Carpet was stained to the point of where it needs new carpet. The finish was neglected and swirled like crazy and the engine, I'm not even going there!! So 4 cans of pop and 2 glasses of OJ later I got the job done to the best of my ability, he was happy but not floored. He wasn't expecting much anyway don't even know why he wanted it done in the first place.

As mentioned before in my first post I don't have DACP, VM or any of that stuff yet. I do have #7 that was beyond hard to buff on that truck and the shine wasn't that great obviously, I didn't care about waxing this thing so I just bull shited my way through S100, slap it on there, wait 5 mins, take it off. I wish I had some of the stuff you guys do but I think it's going to have to wait till next spring as well as the PC Pads. Oh well, I got my $65 and that's all that matters,,,,,91
