taking off polish/wax on trim

Just wanted to get some opinions on removing polish and/or wax off of the black plastic and rubber trim/mouldings. I'll be a little more intelligent next time and tape them so I won't have to worry about them. Any suggestions?
 
A trim restorer product will do the trick. I have had GREAT success with Wizards Black Renew for removing wax from trim...any color trim at that. I think that Mothers Back to Black works well too.

Otherwise, there is always the ol' peanut butter trick!
