Still looking like a polished rock after almost 5 months

I'm changing the badging on my car again and had to take a picture to show somebody. I washed the car at the local coin op (spray only with no brush) and then came home and finished it off with Spray and Wipe. Other than that I doubt there is anything on it but the 5 layers of Klasse that I put on in October. I put on some UPPS several weeks ago, but I seriously doubt any of that is still there after the last couple salt storms we've had. I know the Klasse is still there because this is trademarked polished rock Klasse shine.

Granted that is in the garage and the lighting isn't great, but it looks just as polished rock-ish out in the sun. :)

Three cheers for Klasse!!

How do you layer Klasse? I thought that one canceled the other out?

Or are you talking about there sealant?

Yup, sorry about that. I should have clarified. Klasse AIO is something I only use as a paint cleaner and a base for SG. When I say 'Klasse' I am usually refering to Klasse Sealant Glaze. I've found that it is more durable in the crappy winter climate here and more likely to survive through March when I have a chance to polish it off and start over with something that looks better (to me). I dig the polished rock look, but I really love the dripping wet paint look better.

I thought that's what you meant....I love when I take the plates off my car to replace the registration tags and the paint is as clean and shiny as the rest of the car.....

Looks good Jngr, your car definately has the "hard candy" look, which IMO looks good.

I see you've been busy on the subie, are those led brake lights? Also whats up with the "Liberty" badging? Surely your not trying to convince people is a Jeep now? :stuart:

WOW! That second pic is great. Can you tell that I haven't seen the mountains in awhile? Beautiful pic. Oh yeah your car and garage also look great.

VERY nice! It's a testament to the durability of SG if that's what a car can look like through the salt and snow of winter in the north! I too prefer the dripping wet look, but you just can't complain about a shine like that.

The brake lights are actually a little darker than they were originally. I tinted them with a film that has holes cut out for a little better brake light visibility. I've got more pictures of that film here.

To my knowledge the Jeep Liberty doesn't have any badging with the word. It is just printed on the spare tire cover. ;) Besides, the Subaru Liberty has been around a lot longer than the Jeep Liberty. Liberty is what the Legacy is called in Australia. Not only am I the patriotic type who doesn't mind a word like Liberty on the back of my car, I also enjoy confusing people when they wonder "what in the world is that?" when they see it on the road. I got some interesting looks this morning on the way to work I tell ya.

Jngr - Didn't you post a thread a while back telling where you got the badging from? I had been tossing around the idea of changing the badging on my Tacoma to Hi-Lux badging, but I don't know how it would look or if I was off my rocker. Yours looks nice and clean.

The L7 badge is actually just a vinyl overlay. I'm not spending $40 some odd dollars for something that I can use an overlay on and have it look just as good. ;) The Liberty badge was sent to me by a friend in Australia. He just went to a dealership and bought the badge and mailed it to me. If you want custom lettering then you can go to www.youremblem.com and have them send you the letters. You don't get any font options or anything like that, but it does make for some great looking custom badges. This is a seller I am looking at to make something custom. I'm interested to see samples of the work before I do anything. Fonts on the screen are great, but what do they really look like is the question.
