between the SFX pads and the DAS pads?

I need to order some new pads. I currently have some of the CMA LC pads, and like them alot, but the blue backing is flying off in small particles while in use. Also got an Orange LC pad for SMP, its a 7" pad, while I like its size, I dont like the way its shaped, doesnt seem like enough contact area. So I want to try something else. And decied to try the Sonus pads but whats the difference? Same price just about.

Had login issues, and had to create a new user name. So save the welcome replys :D :woot:

100 views no responce... Well since nobody knows, I will answer this myself this weekend. I ordered the SFX pads. It looked like they were for the 6" backing and the DAS was for 5". Dont know for sure, but @ about the same $$$ for now. Let you know how they are this weekend.

First, did you contact administration about your login problems? If not, please do so before they find you with two accounts. That would be a one way ticket to bansville.

Second, the difference between the DAS pad and SFX pads is simply that the SFX pads were designed specifically for the SFX polishes, and are a different foam than the DAS pads. I haven't used the SFX pads, but do have the DAS pads and they are my absolute favorite. Very versatile pads and very well constructed. Regardless, I'm sure you will love the SFX pads as they can be used with any product.

Yeah I sent a couple of email back and forth with Jon Wilson. Still couldnt get anywhere. Aint nothing in bansville that I care to see, just as soon stay away from there.

Thanks for the info on the pads. If I would have known that I would have gotten the DAS then but I didnt.

No problem, just make sure Jon deletes your old username for you.

Don't sweat the pads, you are going to love them. Like I said, I don't have any experience with the SFX pads since they came out after I already bought my DAS pads, and I haven't had any reason to try anything else. The SFX pads are *supposed* to be superior to the DAS ones, guess we'll see.

I have all of the DAS and SFX pads. Overall, I think they're pretty similar though the SFX are supposed to transfer more energy to the paint.
