While I'm waiting to hear back from Autopia, I thought I might pick your brains about this. Yesterday, I was almost finished polishing (sonus restore) the 1st coat on an Acura RL. The yellow plastic pad (with the hooks and arbor that attaches to the PC) came apart at the arbor and the PC dinged the car.
Does this happen very often? Is there something more reliable out there? Did my technique contribute to this failure?
The ding isn't crazy bad, but I really wish it didn't happen and I certainly don't want it to ever happen again. I'm hoping they send me a replacement from Sonus, but will this happen again? Maybe the next time this part fails, it'll be in the middle of the hood.
