I just got an electric rotary polisher from a relative who no longer needs it. It is a black and decker "electronic sander/polisher". It has an RPM dial as well. I know that rotaries can be a great tool but can also be a bit risky to use without proper technique. So this is where you guys come in.
What do i need to know when using a rotary? How can i practice without endangering the paint on my car or anybody elses?
I have started detailing for profit as a side job and have been doing fine with my crappy 40 dollar orbital buffer, mainly because the only cars i have encountered so far have been in very excellent shape. this rotary opens a whole new window of paint correcting possibilities.
given it's age and appearance, it wouldn't fetch much on ebay at all, so the tool itself is more valuable to me then the small amount of cash i would get for it.
there you go...now teach me. thanks in advance for all the help.
