Shopping List - Your Recommendations

I am looking to order up some more detailing supplies from the US for the summer (if it ever arrives in the UK) and wanted some ideas of what combinations of cleaners/polishes/waxes to put on my shopping list for a deep wet look.

At the moment I am using Meguiars products, mainly #80 (by PC to hid the swirls) and NXT wax. I also use #83 for removing small defects.

Are there any waxes that allow water to sheet off the car rather sit there in tiny beads? In the spring months when its raining one moment and then sunny the next, the dried water marks on the paint work drive me crazy!

Thanks

My favorite combo for my black daily driver is VM topped with either PB's EX or CMW both will give you a very deep and wet look (EX a little deeper, CMW a little wetter). Both combo's are topped with Souveran for a little more pop!

Some of the things I like and tried are: Tropi-Care TC-3, Adam's Butter Wax, ClearKote VM and CMW, Poorboy's EX, and S100.

Slightly offtopic, what is the best way to clean the car (besides washing) if you do happen to get water spots while the car is outside during the day. Is QD and microfibre ok if not too dirty ?

Well I'm not sure why you would want sheets over beads, but whatever floats your boat. AIO and SG are known to sheet rather than bead. I do get beading with SG personally but many many people say they get sheets. But Z2Pro beads like crazy and when you drive water flies of that surface too. Sheeting products will still have spots were water gathers, but the spots will be fewer and bigger. Here's another product that sheets, but once you try it you'll know that tight beading is more preferable IMO. Heres the product-Lustrelab LXR All-in-one

Thanks for the advice, if sheeting products leave larger water spots, i'll stick to the waxes that bead.

Thanks for the advice, much appreciated.

If you want sheeting action, Blackfire and Menzerna FMJ sheet water. Very well, I might add. You're left with very few droplets of water on the car. I heard the Klasse twins sheet water too, but I haven't tried those yet. All I can tell you is the Blackfire and FMJ are the slickest and best looking sealants I have tried so far.(And YES!! I've tried Zaino already. Initial slickness is just not as good as the aforementioned sealants.) You'll love they way they'll look on your black MB. Also, for a whole line of products you can count on, go for the Menzerna line. You will not be disappointed. They're the only stuff I'll use on my black Acura.
