Rigid dual mode sander...

6 inch backing plate(removable?) with 4,000-10,000 OPM, 3.8 amp and a dual mode for a small sanding motion and a larger sanding motion. I saw it at Home Depot and thought I'd throw it out as a possible option for either the Dewalt 443 or Griots. Price was $139.

Also found the Metabo SXE 450 6 inch 1/4 and 1/8 orbit and rotational sander. 3.8 amp 4,000 to 10,000 opm (amazon.com)

these actually might be the same machine-specs are all the same. Anyone think they'd be a good choice for a HD type of polisher?

I was looking at the Ridgid; it comes with a wrench....so , I'm

guessing that it would be used for removing the backing plate ?
