Removing mould from fabric window seals?

Hi all,
I've noticed mould growing on the seal/track that the window slide against. It's a back door, so I can't wind the window all the way down, so I can't access the mouldy part properly.

The seal is like a felt or fabric.

Car is a 2015 VW Polo GTI.

How would you go about removing said mould?

My suggestion is to use Spray Nine cleaner on it.
It is really designed for the boating industry, but it's antibacterial detergent works really good as an all-purpose cleaner for vehicles
OR, maybe Wet-and-Forget Outdoor may be better if you cannot physically get to it with a cotton swab or something thin, like a shim feeler gauge. It just takes time to work. Not sure how "compatible" it is with rubber-based seals though.
Both of these cleaners can be found over-the-counter at Walmart.

I'd use a Biocide such as Mold-X, which has never disappointed me. No need to rinse thoroughly, or even at all in case you just can't do that.

OK...two things...first, the OP is in Australia, second, the only Mold-X I find is a pill you take, did you mean Moldex? That seems to be available and Menards, etc., not sure about Australia.

MoldStat does seem to be available in Australia, although I don't know how widely. That looks like interesting stuff, looks a little hard to come by here in the US also, seems it was sold at Lowe's but no longer.

Did not know you are living in Australia, which makes buying USA-sourced products I recommend difficult -to-impossible for you
to procure and hence, use. My apologies for my ignorance of your country of origin. Where abouts are you in Australia?

Anyway, let us know what you find and use down-under and how it works

phatrs- That should at least be worth a try, at least I don't see warnings about it bleaching treated surfaces. TSP is a decent cleaner...and/but I don't know enough about Sodium Carbonate to know whether it'll really kill/prevent mold.

Setec- IME "regular" cleaners don't get all the mold spores, often leading to recurrence. I keep recommending the MoldStat because its relative outperformance was simply shocking, worked great on some "you'll never kill that, time to demo!" mold infestations that have *stayed* fixed. But that sure doesn't make it the only proper solution!

I understand--I'm just saying some APC and a MF towel and maybe it goes away and doesn't come back--maybe it was growing on some debris that the APC will clean off. Before resorting to specialized products, KISS etc.

Setec- I sure won't argue with just doing something when that won't cause issues. Funny, but I think of products like MoldStat as stuff everybody naturally just has on the shelf, guess that's not the case!
