Raggtopp convertible cleaning, what's wrong???

According to this, is water supposed to bead on the fabric top after you've cleaned and protected with the Raggtopp kit?

I cleaned and did 3 coats of protectant yesterday (about 28 hrs ago). It has just been raining pretty hard for an hour, so I went to check, but I don't see any beading.

Did I do something wrong? The top looks alot cleaner and darker after using the products, but I was expecting beading...

I talked to Rick at Raggtopp. He told me that it's not going to bead under the constant rain.



A week later when I re-washed, the water was beading nicely on the top. The water just slid off the top like a newly polished hood.



Moral of the story, if you've cleaned the top, then applied the 3 coats, it needs adequate time to dry.

Three coasts without allowing each coat to dry is not a great method. Most likely you will see that the treatment has been washed onto you paint and trim following the rain. Follow directions on the can always helps.
