Quick Wax or Detailer Help

Now that my car is freshly waxed(Autoglym HD wax), I'd like to keep it up in between waxes.

I saw a guy at the car wash(don't worry, I wasn't in my car) spraying something onto his white Lincoln Navigator and wiping it off in small sections. His car was still wet, but he said he was drying when he was wiping this product off. He told me it was a some kind of spray on wax he got at an auto detailers pro supply shop. I didn't press him any further, b/c at the time, I didn't have my new car yet.

Anyway, if something like that is effective, I'd be interested to know what product he might have been using. I'd like to be able to wash my car with my Meg's Gold Glass shampoo and then be able to spray some kind of Quick Detailer or Wax onto the wet car and then rub off with MF. Basically saving me the step of drying the car first. Is this correct? Is this even effective? Does a product like this exist?

What are some of the best OTC quik detailers, quick waxes? Are these the same thing? If not, which one should I be using on my car, which already has the AG HD wax applied?

Thanks again b/c this newb is learning a lot!

Some OTC that I like:

Duragloss Aqua Wax (Carquest)

Duragloss Fast Clean & Shine (Carquest)

Meg's Ultimate Quick Detailer (Wal Mart)

Lucas Slick Mist (Advance/AutoZone)

I've heard of Duragloss Aquawax...can I use this on my car right after washing and before drying? Basically car should be beaded up like crazy b/c of AG HD wax(at least I'm hoping :) when done with wash. I would spray aquawax and then wipe off, thus applying the wax, wiping off wax, and drying car, all in 1 step?

Thanks again!

OCW and AW are my two favorites, though most quick waxes can be used on a slightly wet car, those two stand out for looks, slickness and durability. If you like the carnauba look, go for the OCW, if you like a sealant look, AW is the right one for you.

I use the Aquawax as I dry the car, all the time. It will do exactly what you are looking for. An OK product that will also accomplish "almost" the same results is Eagle One Wax-as-you-dry.

Keep in mind that wax does evaporate with time and exposure and that washing your car again will remove the wax. Most detailers contain petroleum distillates, so again you will be removing your previous wax job. Applying too much wax without removing the previous might leave a dull finish. If I'm short on time, I'll just use Foamtek which is a foaming waterless wash with ionized carnauba. Once you get the hang of it you can get your car done in 20min, windows and rims included.
