I just finished using Meguiars DACP with a meguiars yellow pad. The paint looked niced and smooth. There are some light scratches left still but it did took out some them. My question is that, using just the DACP there very little micro marring on the paint which can only be seen when looked very closely. After using swirl free polish it seems to have more micro marring on my paint. I used it with the meguiars yellow pad. And taking off the residue with a MF towel was really a pain. Am i doin something wrong? It was a lot harder than DACP to work with. I need help pls.

Hi SLiMoo3,

First question... where are you located?

Second question, how long are you working the #82 and at what OPM setting, (Oscillations per minute).

I can’t say I have ever experienced this problem using the W-8006 pad. I assume this is a clear coat your working on?

I live in Vegas. I use the DACP with yellow pad setting at between 4 and 5. I work it till it's almost gone. The swirl free polish i tried it with the yellow pad and the w9000 pad speed set the same between 4 and 5. Thanks. Also, is SFP should be more liquidy than DACP?

Nix my first idea...

That sounds right to me.

That sounds right to me also... Sometimes the W-9006 pad can feel and act a little gummy with #82, it often times depends on the paint type.

I wish I could say your welcome, but I can't. I'm sorry, without being there, I don't know why your experiencing problems. You might try going over the finish with the DA again using the #83 and then go right to your wax.

What are you using for a wax?

Also, is SFP should be more liquid than DACP?

That's correct. I little more liquid, a littler more slippery, a higher concentration of oils to diminishing abrasives.

I think I’ll be in Vegas this spring, but I’ll have to check my calendar.

Well, shouldn't the SFP remove any micro marring or hazing left with the DACP??? I have a black car and it really shows. I tried to follow up with 3m smr with the w9000 pad and didn't change anything. Well, I guess i'll just give SFP another try with the w8000 pad. Should I apply pressure when working with SFP just like DACP or should i just use a light pressure?

Please let me know when you're coming to vegas. Im looking forward meeting you.

I had the same problem with SFP. I tried to remove some very minor marring with SFP and a Megs yellow polishing pad. The SFP didn't remove the marring and even created some more marring. I did a search here and on Showcaregarage.com to find out what was going on. It seems if you work SFP too long , untill it starts to turn to dust, it will introduce new marring. This is different than DACP wich you work untill it is almost gone. I guess SFP requires some practice to get right. Work it to long and you get more marring, don't work it long enough and it is a PITA to buff off.
