I no longer work at a dealer, so now that it is getting to be winter, it will be a pain cleaning cars.

I have cleaned in cold weather before, but that included a rinse, wash, rinse, and dry.

so, my question is, which product do you guys prefer, QEW or optimum no rinse wash ?

suggestions, opinions, personal preference, let me know !!

thanks :heelclick

Kind of your pick - some ppl prefer QEW over ONR and vice versa. I haven't used QEW but I like ONR.

I've used both and I much prefer using ONR. Leaves the finish slicker, works better on glass and has at least equal cleaning power.

my first ONR expierience was a blast . . . butg woudlent mind trying the other product everyone raves about . . . DP 4 in 1 has gotten some prasing too . . . hmmmm . . . so many products . . .so little cash . .

since i'll be washing cars that have been driven through salt and snow,

is there still a call for pre-rinsing ??

or do you just start washing ?

i'd like to induce as little swirling / marring as possible.

i was reading some of the older posts, that have discussed similar situations,

and i guess i'll be using some qew / onrw is a trigger bottle to pre-treat some of the heavy soiled areas.

its going to suck not working at a dealer, being able to wash the cars with a hose and bucket, always nice to rinse everything thoroughly.

eh , :aww:

You'll soon realize how much easier and faster it is to wash the car this way.

QEW leaves a nice glow to the finish-must be the wax

there's votes for qew and its "finish" and there are votes for ONR's "finish"

hmmmmmmmm,

i think i am going to give the onr a shot,

since it seems to be more slick, and leaves the glass better.

maybe i'll ask for some qew for xmas, then that way i can make my own comparisons,

and only spend half the $$

I have used both and can say the ONR does do a better job on glass as mentioned. I was a bit uneasy changed to ONR from QEW but the jump proved well. Over the Zaino on my truck the finish is left nice and slick

In addition, mixing ONR at detail spray strength gets you a QD, clay lube and a glass cleaner I'd put against anything on the market. :)

Well I have to say I'm a new ONR fan !

After research and thought my method is a little different. I mix 1oz/1gal warm water in a 1 gal pump sprayer. I fill a 5 gal pail with warm (rinse) water. I spray a panel at a time (top down of course), wipe with a wet waffle weave towel, followed by a dry towel. I rinse the wet towel as I move along and rotate in new towels as necessary. Wheels/tires are last. I have washed my mid-size SUV twice and my wifes Regal once with that gallon of MIX! (and I wasn't stingy). So a gallon of ONR will go really far for me!

Some ONR highpoints:

1 - Very effective at removing dirt w/o scratching (almost melts away) including brake dust.

2 - Surprizingly cleans tires very well.

3 - Has a Rainx like affect on glass.

4 - Looks every bit as good as a wet wash and leaves a nice shine and a slick surface that helps reduce road spray from sticking.

5 - Mixed at 6oz/1 gal distilled water makes a very good QD spray.

6 - Can also be mixed/used as a clay lube.
