what cleaning solution does everyone use in their little green machines? After reading peoples reviews and doing some searching i recently purchased a 1425 w/ turbo brush. Its a referb, so I hope it doesn't leak.
Anyway--do you use bissell products? I've read some things about woolite? Any sugesstions would be great

I brought a low foam soloution from a local dealer, however your rug doctor stuff works as well. Make sure that you read the dilution ratios to not put to much in that will result in lots of foam.

I have access to some stuff by Spartan. Its called Xtraction II Soild extraction carpet cleaner & their SSE carpet pre spray & spotter. Anyone hear of this brand?

it says for institutional and industrial use only

I use Rug Renew from TOL it works great . I'll use half of the amount thats called for. I also use the same product for spot cleaning 50/50 mix

I do the same as Rollman. I bought some Bissel cleaners after the trial solution ran out and was very unimpressed~~

I also spray a pre-treating spray and agitate before running the machine which gives better results.

Actually I got the RR tip from you Nick :bigups I've cleaned some nasty mats with very little scrubin needed to get them looking new.

I'm very impressed with the product, especially because you can dilute it so well. In fact, I just got my order of 2 gallons in a couple weeks ago. I started using it in the home as well with our bigger Bissel shampooer, again with great results.

I agree. That Rug Renew is some good stuff. I applied by hand and by Cyclo, and I amazed at how well it cleaned.

I usually just put plain water in mine and then spray the carpets with a trigger pump woolite solution that way if you get it too soapy you can just hit it with the wand from the LGCM and it will be easier to extract.

If it were me I would run plain water. I would use the machine as a rinsing tool. Problem is when you start pumping detergents thru this unit, the o rings and seals will eventually rot and it won't last nearly as long. Put a good prespray on the carpet and rinse it with plain HOT water.
