Pics of White Subaru STi

A couple of pictures of an Australian Spec Subaru STi. This is a turbo charged 2 litre 4 cyclinder monster. It has all wheel drive, is 80 kilograms lighter than the Impreza WRX and puts out 220kilowatts (WRX is about 185kws). The car will keep up with a BMW M3 - and out perform it in tight winding roads. You Porshe Boxster S owners will have a nice view of the rear number plate.:p

Alloy bonnet and control arms, parts of motor lighter and the back seat is a little different which all save weight.

Now that car looks like some serious fun.

My buddy's 1988 Audi with 280,000 confirmed miles has finally died, we cracked the head. Friggin cars are junk, they just don't last ;)

Anyhow, that car had AWD and man, that sucker could still hang with alot of the cars out there, even with the stock 14 inch rims and those fat sloppy tires. I can just picture what a brand new STI or a new S4 can do. :up

280,000 Miles :O

That's not bad, I know you're being *sarcastic* bad cars.. sheesh.

My Veedub just rolled 54,000

:xyxthumbs

"The Beauty of All-Wheel Drive . . ."

Now, when is Subaru gonna get off their collective backsides and get the STi to the US!? Rumor says it could be 2003, but I've not heard any specifics . . .

Heh,

Screw the STi, bring back the SVX ;)

My buddy still has his 1991 (I think) SVX.. It's falling apart but damn it's still nice.

SVX is the sedan with the trippy looking side windows right? I still see em around here from time to time. Some Scoobs keep on going forever, haven't seen a Brat in a while though :)

My mom has an SVX. I think its a 94 but I'm not sure. They have those Delorian like windows. I didn't really care too much for the styling. Its like they went a little overboard with everything they wanted to do to it. Its got the looks and ride of a sports car but the luxury of a...well...luxury car. They even have heated side mirrors! I don't like the cover that goes over the stereo very much because if its closed and the CD ejects then you are screwed. My mom has broken a couple CDs that way. The break and then slide down and you can see them between the spaces in the dash. lol I wouldn't race one though. Unless I was in another subaru or something with a turbo I would stay far away from them. I'd like to try one against my teg just to see how close I came though.... The SVX is a very impressive machine for a V6 powered AWD car.

It took me some time to get use to the large wing, a bit over the top for my taste. A friend who also has one, said he would take the wing off, but he needs it when heading down the straight at Eastern Creek Raceway at 200km (short straight).

At least its a functional wing. I hate seeing those wings on the back of 1983 Chevy Cavaliers or something. Its a little big but its definatly needed sometimes I'd bet.

You Aussies got the good WRX. We get the wussy version with the bug eyes. Its still a monster of a car, but in a race we all know who would win. I really like the body style of the "everywhere but North America" version WRX. :xyxthumbs Very nice.

We now also have the bug eyed version now - I prefer the old style. The STi bug eye is a nice car to drive - as I say, you do not care what a performance looks like when you are behind the wheel.

Great car! absolutely love them!a friend has a version 6 sti coupe. was excellent to drive! if you could please put on some pictures of the whole car from an angle!:D
