PC vs. Vandalism (Spray Paint...) PICS

I'm a relative newbie with my porter-cable but figured I'd post this success story - my neighbors' Toyota Highlander got sprayed with white spray paint on Halloween (what ever happened to shaving cream & eggs??? kids are pricks these days I guess). Anyway he's seen me messing around with my car and asked if I could give it a shot. I wasn't sure if I could get it off - tried the clay first but that only removed it in a few spots where the spray was thin. I used 3M Fine Cut compound with an orange pad and with fairly heavy pressure, removed all the spray paint! Was suprised on a black car that I didn't leave much hazing in the process, but followed with 3M Hand Glaze and AIO just to make it look pretty. Took 45 minutes in all, here's the pics:

Kids these days have absolutely no respect for anything anymore these days. That's why my cars go inside on holidays like these.



Maybe watching less rap vidoes will do the trick...
 
If there ever is a next time just use paint thinner with a micro fiber. It will easily wipe right off. Just hand wax after.
 
woah, I'm not sure I'd feel comfortable spreading paint thinner on my paint... are you sure that is safe?





Also, Eggs would be 5 billion times worse than spray paint... not only do the shells chip your paint, the egg acts like bird poop and eats your paint (or at least it did mine). shaving cream drys and is near impossible to get off.

Thinner can't hurt fully cured paint with this light removal application. I've seen an idiot one time rest a rag soaked in virgin thinner on top of a hood and it melted it a little. I guarantee that your finish won't get damaged from thinner. It has a very fast drying time and is totally safe. You could probably get away with mineral spirits too for spray paint, but it's kinka oily and not as strong as thinner. Both products will remove wax for sure. I also use thinner on a regular basis for removing tar too.
