PC for new Users

I am considering getting a PC to help with my detailing. I was curious as a new user to a PC, this unit isn't strong enough to burn thru paint right unlike the Makita etc...

No, this unit is great...I've had mine for awhile now and love it...Great tool to have...Good Luck...

It's not the brand name, but rather, the type of polisher that you are concerned about. PC and Makita both make random orbital buffers, and also rotary buffers. The one which beginners want to use are random orbital buffers (or as PC calls it, Dual Action polisher), which does not generate much heat on the paint. You want to stay away from rotaries, which will generate heat in a hurry and burn the paint if you're not careful.

I got the pc7424 from coastal with the bonus pack. I was a little nevous to use it on my car, having never used a buffer of any kind. So I tried it out on my daughter's car, did the roof, figured if I screwed it up she wouldn't notice. :scared The pc7424 is great! Its very easy to use for a novice, seems to be almost impossible to screw anything up. This w/e I used it for her entire car with a megs deep cleaner, the car came out amazing! Now I'm starting to experiment with the different bonnets and pads, I had bought the advanced pad kit from CMA. I highly recommend it.
