PC 7424 & Zaino

I just ordered a PC 7424 from Coastal.

Now here reading about all the pads and products used with it.



I'm a Zanio user, and I have very, very fine scratches on my 04 Z.

I am going to try to use Z-5 with the PC 7424 to get them out.



How has this worked for others ?



Which pads do you recommend for Z-2 and Z-5 ?

Ok, you will not get scratches out with Zaino 5. It is ment to fill in the scratches and cover them up. It is not an abrasive and applying by PC is typically not recomended. Nice ride!
 
The Z5 won't actually "work out" swirls/scratches, it is non-abrasive. Z5 will gradually fill in very, very fine marring on the surface with several coats.



That being said, I would use the PC with a mild polish like Menzerna Final Polish and then follow up with Zaino by hand.
 
Sal usually recommends 3M's SMR prior to Z5 or Z2. Used with a white finishing pad or a yellow polishing pad (depending on if you need the added bite from the pad) the SMR should do the trick. Crank up the PC to 6 and work small sections at a time.



Do a Z7 wash then slap on the Z2 or 5.

Got it, so Z5 will only hide the fine scratches, not remove them.



I will pick up some Menzerna Final Polish as PDT447 suggested and pick up some SMR as bretfraz said, incase I need something more abrasive

I just ordered some LCP pads (yellow, white, black)



Dam fine scratches, wish I didn't see them in the Florcent lights at the show. Have 10 coats on Zanio on her to
