OXO Duster-Initial Problems

Just bought the OXO duster from Autopia. Per the instructions I have let it sit on a newspaper and drain off some of the wax. But still when I used it the first time it was like rubbing wax on the paint. Spent way too much time getting the wax off the paint. Any one have a OXO duster? Does it get better??

How did you let it set on the newspaper?? It sounds like you should let it sit longer so that more of the parrafin wax is off of the strands.

By any chance was the car sitting in the sun?

I have found with my CCD, that if the paint is too warm the wax will transfer to the paint. I generally just use mine now in the spring when the pollen is really bad.

I have an OXO duster and it works very well; much better than the California dusters. I would let it sit longer on the paper. As someone else said, if the surface is hot it will still leave the wax on. Overall you should be very pleased.
