Optimum Coating-4.5 month UPDATE video

Here are a couple of videos shot with my phone of the hydrophobic properties of the Coating formerly known as "X." In the video I say that it's at 3 months, but it's actually 4-4.5. It was 3 months since the last update video I did shich was after a month. I did add a coat of CG 50/50 paste wax to the coating since the last video, but the wax will NOT bead like this on its own.







 
I'll take that over beading any day of the week. Is any information forthcoming or is this mystery theater?
 
Last I heard they had made some changes that allowed easier application AND with 2x the actives and since everyone was disappointed that it was gonna be a pro only product, they're trying to get it so the margin of error is almost foolproof. It would already be out, except for Dr G wanting to give the detailers what we want. I'm almost out of the sample I won on the Optimum forum, so I hope it's not too long.

How easy is it to get off your paint to fix a paint chip or something? Will a paint cleaner do it?
 
It must be removed with abrasives. However if the chip has occurred after application, there should be no issue as the coating is gone with the paint in that spot. The coating will be removed via sanding when leveling the touch up. You can then reapply the coating after curing.

How about the appearance? Similar to Opti-Seal?



Just FYI, if you upload your videos to youtube, your videos will be in much higher quality (even with a camera phone) and show your results even better.

The appearance is almost identical to OS IMO. It deepened the red 500SL I put it on, you could tell in the photos. On my Altima looks just like OS.



I uploaded the pics to Youtube per your advice, but it must be me or my phone as they look exactly the same. I recorded them in the highest res my phone has, but I think they loose something when sent by video message. Do you have any other suggestions that I may be overlooking. I guess I could pop the card out and put it on my pc first, but that's a little work.

yeah, Anthony O and Ron H put it on a vehicle and state 3 years to date on a daily driver.

I am letting everyone know that is guy is a troll. I have been trying to sell stuff in the good deals section and every time I post a thread he gets in there and posts harassing messages. Any clients or potential clients of this guy needs to watch out, he is not a nice guy and I would not recommend him for anything by his behavior displayed on this board. Unfortunately this is the length I have to go to to make him stop what he is doing.

He won't have any posts after he gets banned, you better catch up on what's going on.
