NXT Tech Wax?

I have been using Carnauba and I just bought some NXT Tech. I called Meg's to see if I should clean and polish before using (I cleaned and polished a couple months ago) and they said "no" just put it on top of the carnauba. Does this sound right? I know I can top NXT with carnauba, but the other way around?
