Nothing to brag about, rear ended fix job

OK,

So my mom put the idea of going to a pumpkin patch into my g/f's head. Well, I had just washed the Camaro and wanted to take it out, but just cruise around and enjoy a 75 degree October day. So we wound up going to the pumpkin patch. i was thinking i should have brought my wrangler because I was going to have to park on dusty gravel . straw grounds. Oh well, i thought as I was sitting waiting, ( AT A DEADSTOP MIND YOU ) waiting for police to direct traffic. WHILE SITTING STOPPED, ( YES I AM MENTIONING IT AGAIN ) the broad behind me lets off of the brake and bumps me from behind. :hairpull

I immediately got out to inspect the damage I was hoping not to be that bad. As the pictures will show, you can pretty much see the entire outline of her liscence plate, and of course including her bolt heads.

So, I asked her if someone hit her from behind and she said that she did not think so, and i said, WELL I SURE AS HELL WAS NOT MOVING BACKWARDS :grrr

She offered me her info, but I was too pissed off, and figured my deduct on the Camaro is 1000 bucks ( from when I was younger and 1st got it ) so it's not worth it to have her insurance pay 400 bucks to repaint it and i still have to pay 1000 bucks. yes i know, if she claimed it with her ins, i could have just gotten a check, and i could have possibly had a ticken written up for her, but like i said, i was soo aggrivated i just got the hell out of there.

What does your deductible have to do with it? Her insurance would pay the whole cost.

So after I put away all my detail stuff, I had to bring it all back out in order to repair the " boo- boo "

So I brought out the 2000 grit sand paper and wet-sanded the area

Here is the area 1/2 polished with Menzerna IP, on a 4" orange cutting pad and the PC, worked in on 2-3 and then polished on 6

Here it is fully polished, Glazed with Vanilla moose and coated with WolfGang

Unfortunately you can still see the stress cracks in the paint, I had some near the bottom of the bumper close to the license plate but now i have more in the middle of the left area. Really pisses me off people can't pay attention :sadpace:

I guess i was too pissed off to think straight, we were sitting in traffic and cops were directing traffic. and to tell you the truth i just wanted to get the hell out of there.



wound up at a car show, which calmed me down a little.
