Noobie's Clay n NXT first experiment

After asking a bunch of questions for the las two weeks, here are the pictures of my first serious detailing session.:cool
Started with a Blue Coral car wash,
then clayed with Meguiare's quick clay, which was kinda fun cause I like playing with clay:-p ,
I used car wash soap as the lubricant, I found that easier to use than the detailer spray. I didn't have much crud on the clay since my car is new.
Then dryed car,
and waxed for about 1 hour with NXT.(got super tired on last panel from doing the inside cleaning:rolleyes: )
My photo skills are quite poor and so is my digital camera but I'm getting better at taking good pics and will get a better camera soon.

Overall the results were fairly satisfactory, I know I can do better as I was somewhat pressed on time:-p . Maybe next detailing session I will try adding another layer of NXT or carnauba wax. I want to get that "wet" look, I think NXT gave me that "shiny" and "clean" look. Any suggestions are welcome!

WOW beautiful, try maybe another layer of NXT before topping with carnauba?!:dunno I find that with most products the 2nd 'application' gives a different look. Eg.TS x 2 darkens the paint and makes it shimmer

hello djsway,

great job man . claying is pretty easy huh? did you get a chance to show her off last weekend?
try some PB's EX-P for a deep , wet look . Looks great on my 325ci ..

:wait :wait
Take another look at it this morning.
IMO, it looks great right now, but NXT seems to look even better the day after.

My suggestion: Go drive it!

Very nice. Reflections look good especially for white.

No plastic trim, or roof racks makes things "easy", go for two coats of NXT followed with carnauba wax topper.

Also dump the Blue Coral. Give away to a child for his bike wash.:lmfao It's my choice for the kids when they work along side dad.

Get some NXT wash or Gold Glass for the BMW, it's sooo much better.:cool

looks great

I've used the NXT wax (which I think is more of a synthetic polish) & I always topped it with some good carnauba 'cause the NXT "wax" isn't very durable IMHO.

Grab some of the NXT wash at Wal-Mart, smells great & best price around for NXT products

Thanks guys! It's a 2004 325ci, inline 6, with the Sport package which has a tighter suspension kit (that's why it looks lowered). And yes I sure did show it off at my gf's brother's wedding!:headbang
Got lots of compliments and stares!
Ok so how long should I wait to wax it again? I feel like I want to wax it every weekend  !

Ok next purchase NXT carwash soap and some type of carnauba wax.:D

djsway looks like you did a great job for the first time! Read the above recommendations for better or more results. WG Polish /Sealant is Wolfgang Pre Sealant Polish and Deep Gloss Sealant. Do a search. AIO by Klasse is a cleaner polish

Sealant like..? Im thinking of AIO Klass, right?

AIO is a polish cleaner. SG is the Sealant in the Klasse product line.

:bigups On the work , your bimmer looks great . NXT doesn't look bad on it , I like it .
