I have many friends I work with on their rides. Most love my products but will never order them for themselves, but would go through the steps if they had it on hand. What store bought products would you buy to work on dark colored cars. It has to be able to be gotten at Pep Boys or Autozone.

3M <-- Pep Boys I know Carries a lot

Megs

Mothers

Kit

Turtle Wax

Nano Wax

Liquid Glass

Zymol

Another thing, it has to have drastic affects before and after like it would if you used the PC with the right products. So Fillers are a must I would have to say.

Why not just have a couple extra bottles of stuff on hand and "sell" those to your friends? If you have something that you personally like, you'd be better able to help them with the nuances, as opposed to both you and your friend going through a learning curve with an OTC product neither of you are familiar with.

Mothers Reflections Car Wax/Top Coat/Spray Wax - overall look, ease of use

Mothers FX SynWax/Spray Wax - extreme bright shine, easiest spray wax

Collinite 845/476/885 etc. - nice appearance (can be prep-sensitive) with unrivaled durability

Turtle Ultra - one of the best looking LSPs, insane depth and flake pop, easy

Megs NXT Paste - more durable than liquid, 3 coats look terrific on darks (top it with Collinite: nice & durable)

Megs #26 - decent overall look, darkens and fills, wet

No experience with Kit and 3M.

I agree with BigLeegr, I do the same for my friends or buy it and force them to buy it from you. lol

But if it must be OTC, I'd say Mothers Seal & Glaze then Mothers reflections wax. The mothers glaze does a lot for hiding swirls and light sratches.

That's why I buy everything I can in gallons, now. I keep a few smaller 8oz. squirt bottles around and just sell it to them in that form. When they need a refill, I have them come back with the bottle :LOLOL
