I just bought a PC 7424 to start doing the right detailing job on my cars. In the past the most I did was use a cheap orbital buffer with either Mother's Sleaer/Glaze or Meguires Cleaner/Wax.
I'm trying to put together an order for everything else I'll need to get started and could use some advice. So far I've settled on the Sonus SFX pads, but I'm lost when it comes to the right polishes and wax/sealant to use for my application. I've read through hundreds of threads but it seems like everyone prefers somthing different.
The cars I'll be doing are new (1 year old max) cars that have some slight swirl marks and light scratches I'd like to get rid of.
What would you recommend as far as compound/polish/glaze/wax? I'm lost as to what the right approach would be to complete the whole process. do I use a compund on the really bad scratches and then a polich and glaze and then a final coat of wax? Are all teh steps necessary or are some only necessary for a really badly oxidized finish?
Thanks for any advice,
Rob
