Mothers Multi Purpose Wheel Cleaner

I am relatively new to the forum and really enjoy and learned a lot from the posts. I must ask a question. I am a huge fan of Mothers products. I have used many different waxes from Armoral wax to Zymol Destiny. I swear Mothers is as good if not better than all I have tried. My questions is there wheel cleaner in the yellow bottle. Will this eventually remove my clear coat from my rims. They are the sport wheels for the BMW 330. I have used it for 3 years on and off with excellent results. Spray it on and hose it off. I guess it is acid based but Mothers states it is safe for all factory wheels including clear coated rims. What do you think? Maybe Forrest can voice his opinion too. Thanks.

Wheel Mist Multi Purpose is made for coated, painted and bare alloy wheels.



It will not damage the clear on a wheel when used according to directions. As with all wheel cleaners:



1) do one wheel at a time

2) never spray the cleaner on a hot wheel

3) follow instructions as to how long to leave the cleaner on the wheel before removal.



I've used WMMP for 15 years now, and never once damaged a wheel with its use. There are better known wheel cleaners out there, but I happen to think it works as well as any of them do.



Of course, I'm biased.
