Modern Day Equivalent to Klasse All-In-One?

Alas, my supply of All-In-1 is dwindling. I see it's availability is just about nil now. I think I'm being forced to modernize, LOL.

I've never used Klasse for the polishing aspect, only for the protective polymer. I clean and polish, etc before I apply. But it's been great on all types of surfaces, well beyond automobiles. At least for me.

I'm not particularly enamored of the Graphene coatings because they can't be removed without machine abrasion - at least AFAIK. I don't relish the idea of polishing and removing a bit of paint on my old cars just to reapply a Graphene coating when it loses its skills after a year or so. For the record, my cars are 20+ year old color/clear.

Suggestions? Is there anything that's not Graphene that's easily available but durable and respected?
 
Sadly there really is no equivalent product, the closest thing was Werkstat Prime, which was really just the newer version of KAIO (made by Carlack). Carlack was acquired by another company some years ago.

A very nice product which was not close to the Klasse chemistry, but similar utility, was Optimum Poli-Seal, unfortunately that was replaced by an inferior product.
 
The Swiss company that bought (German) Carlack is Maxolen. The product you want is Carlack 68, which is the improved version of Klasse AIO that was sold here as Werkstat Prime. If you can find it here or import it, you will be all set.

PS I tried to get one of the prominent companies here in the US to take on the Carlack line, after Werkstat died, but they weren't interested. Until you posted this thread, I thought that the McKee's organization was still selling Klasse, as they seemed to have taken that relationship with them when they sold PBMG, but as you noted, Klasse doesn't seem to be available here in the US any longer.

I'll look into Carlack 68... and drop the guy on Facebook a line to see where they stand. I'll update this thread if/when I hear anything.

I believe you mean Optimum Opti-Seal, right? I still like to use it after a good wash on vehicles that are already paint corrected... ::)

I must concur with many of you Klasse All-In- One (KAIO) is a great multi-purpose detailing product for paint, coated hard plastic, and chrome surfaces. It just works. I like it for door jams for a quick cleaner and shine. Because it is a chemical AIO and not abrasive -based, it will not remove scratches and such (the product information says it DOES polish out scratches, but that is not my experience when applied by hand with a foam pad), but that is what lends itself to its use on a variety of automotive hard surfaces.

Yes, I use it on a variety of surfaces beyond automotive. It does have a very mild abrasive but it's the mildest in the business from what I can tell. I always polish first and use it as a final finish (or maybe with their Glaze product on top, although that always seemed like overkill to me).
 
One question I have is how long is the shelf-life of KAIO. Mine had a manufacturing date of July 2013 if I remember correctly, but the ink jet printing is long gone. I got mine from the Autopia Store in 2019 and wondered WHY I had received "old stock" from their inventory (come to think of it, it was at a reduced price, like $24.99 instead of $29.99. It was replenishing a depleted bottle I got from Detailed Image in 2012?). I am guessing it was what they had left and were just trying to get rid of it because there was no sufficient demand for it to warrant keeping it in their store inventory . Again, this is one of those detailing car-care products that I learned about in this Autopia Forum to say it was a must-have-product and was influenced enough to buy it for my own detailing product arsenal and use on many details.
And as Setec mentioned, there are alternative products like Carlack 68 Complete and Zaino All-In-One. Plus the plethora of Ceramic AIOs/One-Step products currently available on the market. But I still like KAIO for what it is and does, as mentioned above in other posts in this thread discussion.

Oh, I missed this before, no, I mean Poli-Seal, which was Optimum's AIO product that was replaced by GPS. It was a yellowish creme product, I had some hopes they might bring it back because after going to all sprayable for a while, they have brought back the creme polishes, but it looks like no dice on Poli-Seal coming back.

Let us know if that Facebook guy gets back to you, the acrylic chemistry of the Klasse products is an unusual one, it will be disappointing if they are no longer available in the US. I presume the supplier that Lonnie found has old stock, and it will be gone eventually.

Man, Klasse gone (maybe?). Sonus seemingly gone. I just found out Griot's Window Cleaner is gone. C-Magic closed up shop. So many brands and products that helped solidify my interest (obsession?) in detailing products are going the way of the dinosaur.

According to the Google AI, Clay Magic is not gone, it says Malco bought AutoMagic but the clay was excluded from the sale. Apparently ITW held on to the ClayMagic brand.

Sorry, I was referring to C-Magic brand. They were the longtime Corvette Museum product of choice for customer deliveries.
